If you’ve been busy listening to Rage Against The Machine for the past month or read Mojo you won’t have noticed that pop is back in a big way. Of course it would be ridiculous to say that it did ever ‘go away’ but suddenly two of the UK’s biggest music publications have deemed it credible to put the towering sales machines that are Cheryl Cole and Simon Cowell on their front covers. Cue semi serious investigative piece.
