Today saw the release of the first new Blur material since 2003 as part of a limited edition vinyl release for the annual Record Store Day. Those who weren’t camped outside Rough Trade East in the early hours of this morning won’t have already heard the track in its full unadulterated glory. The idea of a straight laced documentary on the recent Blur reunion seems inherently at odds with a four piece who permanently had their tongues placed firmly in cheek. Behind the laddish exteriors though lurked alcoholism, several inferiority complexes and some era defining singles.
